The easy way is Thermwood. Our Gen2 SuperControl accepts job level output from your cabinet design software. We are the only ones that do.

This means your entire job is sent to the machine as a single job file, not a hundred or more individual nest and part files as with first generation controls. Our next generation control automatically sorts out the job, nests the parts, creates the programs and guides you through the job, step by step. Productivity soars.

The job file includes cabinet boxes, drawer boxes, MDF doors, five piece raised panel doors, custom edge profiles, custom molding shapes, custom designed parts and three dimensional carvings all in a single file. It’s just easy.

With first generation CNC controls, YOU nest the parts, YOU create a multitude of CNC programs and then YOU sort through them at the machine, YOU organize the job and then YOU load and run them one at a time. All this file fumbling slows machine operation and productivity drops, sometimes by more than half.

Our Gen2 SuperControl does a lot of other things first generation controls don’t. For example, it manages tooling, tracks use and tells you when a tool’s life expires. It will even automatically switch out dull tools if you want. It nests around flaws in a sheet or nests on scrap from previous jobs, right at the control. It tracks actual machine use telling you when to lubricate, clean and maintain. It guides you through operation, maintenance and support with diagrams, electronic manuals, solid CAD models and videos all right on the control. You can even connect to live technical support, again right on the control.

Thermwood builds an entire line of CNC routers for nested based applications from low cost machines for small custom shops to large, high-throughput systems and they all use the Gen2 SuperControl with more next generation features than anyone else.

Job Level communication is now available from KCDw and eCabinet Systems. Thermwood is currently working with all other major software suppliers to develop Job Level communication links with its Next Generation Control.
