Adhesive system
A 3M adhesive system
consists of a Scotch-Weld PUR adhesive applicator and moisture-curing polyurethane
adhesives. The adhesive,
available in four formulations, is dispensed
through a hand-held applicator at 180 F and
can remain in the applicator at temperature
for up to 40 hours. The cartridge has a disposable plastic nozzle for easy changeovers.

Formaldehyde-free adhesive
Franklin Adhesives has added a zero
formaldehyde formula to it’s Multibond
family of adhesives. Multibond 4000 FF
is a one-part, polyvinyl acetate adhesive
that passes water resistance standards
including HPVA Type 2, WDMA TM-
6, ASTM D-5572 Interior Use and
European DIN D3. The proprietary
formula contains no formaldehyde
and is intended for use in laminating
engineered wood flooring, interior
plywood, cabinet panels, finger joints
and flush doors.

NorthStar Chemicals is a Califor-nia-compliant,
high-performance
contact adhesive.
It is designed
to bond decorative laminates to
particleboard, and can also be used on
other substrates, such as veneers, fabrics,
foam and plastics.
