It also uses water-based adhesives. SitOnIt also employs a lean manufacturing process it calls Mass Customization, which eliminates waste and conserves resources through recycling and reuse. Customer benefits include reduced costs, shorter lead times and improved environmental quality.

Rapid turnaround

This lean manufacturing approach enables the company to customize, build and deliver seating within two to five business days. Last year, Managing Automation magazine named SitOnIt Seating to its Progressive 50 list because of the company’s Operation Excellence program, and highlighted the lean manufacturing process.
